Regarding recently completed audit of GRDA:
With responsibilities ranging from electricity generation, transmission and distribution to lake management, this audit will be a resource for the Grand River Dam Authority as it maps out its future in regard to policies, procedures and operations. Our dedicated workforce of nearly 500 Oklahomans will continue its efforts that have made GRDA a low-cost electricity supplier, an economic development engine for Oklahoma and a good steward of the natural resources under its control. GRDA views this audit as a useful assessment tool to identify areas of operational improvement and accountability.
GRDA was created as a conservation and reclamation district in 1935 by the Oklahoma Legislature and is a non-appropriated agency of the state which receives no tax dollars. The organization and mission of GRDA is determined by the Legislature and the Governor. We look forward to working with policymakers in providing any additional information identifying the benefits GRDA provides to the people of Oklahoma. GRDA acknowledges the professionalism of the Oklahoma State Auditor and Inspector and his staff in the preparation of this audit. Responses to specific audit findings are included in the report.
