Floodwater Release Bulletin

At 3PM on Thursday, August 8:

• Grand Lake elevation was 748.12 feet. Daily target elevation for August 8 is 743.50 feet.
• At the direction of the United States Army Corps of Engineers, twelve (12) floodgates were open at Pensacola Dam, discharging 66,136 cubic feet per second (cfs) of water.
• Five (5) units were online at the Pensacola Dam powerhouse, releasing 13,304 cfs of water through generation.
• Releases through floodgates and generation totaled 79,440 cfs.
• Inflows into Grand Lake totaled 64,602 cfs.

• Lake Hudson elevation was 622.29 feet. Normal elevation is 619 feet.
• At the direction of the United States Army Corps of Engineers, four (4) floodgates were open at Robert S. Kerr Dam, discharging 50,961 cubic feet per second (cfs) of water.
• Three (3) units were online at Robert S. Kerr Dam powerhouse releasing 21,600 cfs of water through generation.
• Releases through floodgates and generation totaled 72,561 cfs.
• Inflows into Lake Hudson totaled 88,313 cfs.

The United States Army Corps of Engineers is giving a projected crest prediction for Pensacola for 748.30 early August 9. The projected crest for Hudson is 626.50 on Saturday, August 10. Additional rainfall is expected and will affect crest predictions.
