Floodwater Release Bulletin

At 9AM on Wednesday, May 2:

  • Grand Lake elevation was 744.91 feet. Daily target elevation for May 2 is 742.07 feet.
  • At the direction of the United States Army Corps of Engineers, nine (9) floodgates were open at Pensacola Dam, discharging 25,064 cubic feet per second (cfs) of water.
  • Six (6) units were online at the Pensacola Dam powerhouse, releasing 11,639 cfs of water through generation.
  • Releases through floodgates and generation totaled 36,703 cfs.
  • Inflows into Grand Lake totaled 90,048 cfs.

 

  • Lake Hudson elevation was 622.51 feet. Normal elevation is 619 feet.
  • At the direction of the United States Army Corps of Engineers, one (1) floodgate was open at Robert S. Kerr Dam, discharging 16,038 cubic feet per second (cfs) of water.
  • Three (3) units were online at Robert S. Kerr Dam powerhouse releasing 19,980 cfs of water through generation.
  • Releases through floodgates and generation totaled 36,018 cfs.
  • Inflows into Lake Hudson totaled 43,732 cfs.

 

According to the United States Army Corps of Engineers, an additional floodgate will be opened at the Robert S. Kerr Dam at 11:00 am.
